Debbie Perkins, Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Perkins, as CFO, has been with The Arc since 2003 and has revolutionized the accounting systems of the organization. She is responsible for the overall accountability of the financial management of the company and the accurate interpretation and implementation of policies related to these areas. Ms. Perkins has a BS in Management and Marketing from the University of Santa Clara, CA. She assists the CEO in the overall management of the organization and in the absence of the CEO, performs the duties of the CEO under the direction of the Chairman of the Board. Currently, Mrs. Perkins has taken on the leadership role of Interim CEO and will continue to lead the organization by serving the clients and guiding the staff.
Charmaine Ka-ipo, ETS Manager
Mrs. Ka-ipo’s experience in working with persons with disabilities has resulted in over two hundred individuals being placed in employment over the past twenty-four years. Ms. Ka-ipo joined The Arc in 1991 providing case management, evaluation, training and placement, and retention services. She has a BA degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, as well as a minor in Business Administration from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. Ms. Ka-ipo has been a life time resident of the Big Island, and a a viable member of many community and business organizations. She served as the Chair of the Mayor’s Committee on Persons with Disabilities for eight years.
Meredith Catalini, CSS Manager
Meredith relocated to the Big Island in 2014 and began working with Arc of Hilo in 2015. She comes to Arc with over 20 years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. Her experience includes supporting adults in their own homes, day programs, work programs and more. Her career has included development of many programs from start up to fully running programs and leadership of a large successful organization supporting disabled adults. Meredith’s passion has been to use her experience to initiate change in supporting community inclusion of the disabled population and advocating for better benefits and service programs. Meredith received her Master’s Degree (Masters of Science – Organizational Development) from Pepperdine University in Malibu California.
